Objectives of the Finance Department is to ensure that the financial processes are done in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements and these include Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Instruction, Desk Instruction, Taxation Act, Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Act.

Key functions of the Finance Directorate include:

• Implementing Other Recurrent Transactions and Development part 2 budgets
• Supporting five (5) Water Boards by transferring Development Part 2 funding to respective accounts, capturing Development Part 1 expenditure in the integrated Financial System among others.
• Production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Management of financial records
