Water Supply Services
The department is one of the technical departments in the Ministry of Water and Sanitation. It has structures at the three Regional Water Development Offices and at District level where Water Supply extension services are provided.

To develop and manage safe water supply services in a coordinated, sustainable, effective and efficient manner through appropriate standards and technologies in support of Malawi’s socio-economic growth and development agenda.

Providing potable water to the people of Malawi through increasing availability and accessibility of water supply services, including maintaining an effective monitoring & evaluation system and regulatory framework for water supply services for Malawi’s socio– economic growth and development.
